St Thomas's Hospital
The hospital was described as ancient in 1215 and was named after St Thomas Becket and located at the precinct of St Mary Overie Priory. It moved to a number of locations, including 'Trenet Lane' and St Thomas Street. The present-day hospital is located at a site historically known as Stangate, directly across the River Thames from the Palace of Westminster. It was constructed on the Albert Embankment in the late 1860s, with further additions added in the 1950's after damage sustained during World War 2.
it has a remarkable history and a haunted one at that! The Grey Lady of St. Thomas’s is well known. Some have suggested that it is the shade of Florence Nightingale.

St Thomas' Hospital is a large NHS teaching hospital in the London Borough of Lambeth, London, England.
Originally located in Southwark, but based in Lambeth since 1871, the hospital has provided healthcare freely or under charitable auspices since the 12th century.
